The Necessity of Tree Removal
There are many reasons why a tree might need to be removed – safety, location, construction needs, personal preference, tree health. The most common reason, however, is tree death. Dead or dying trees become increasingly weak and brittle this presents many safety concerns making removal your best option. If the tree has become diseased and is either incurable or too far gone to respond to treatment, removal is often the only option, especially if the disease in question can spread to other trees in the area. Another common reason for tree removal is construction. Prospective construction projects can necessitate the removal of trees, or the tree itself may simply be in an undesirable location. The Removal Process
The removal process starts up in the top section of the tree. Crew members climb up and begin removing limbs. Larger limbs are cut into smaller pieces and eased down to the ground by using ropes. This allows us to safely control their descent. Smaller branches are also removed from the outside edges of the canopy, back to the main trunk. Once the tree trunk is all that remains the crew then begins removing the smaller sections of the trunk from the top down, until it becomes short enough to cut as low as possible.
The tree trunk is cut as low as possible, usually only a few inches above grade. Depending on the size of the tree trunk, our Certified Arborists can discuss stump grinding options with you.
When tree removal is necessary, our highly trained crews arrive on site with years of experience. Essential to this experience is the mastery the crew demonstrates when rigging ropes. We use ropes to attach to the climber’s harness, and also to guide limbs safely to the ground. Rigging makes the removal process safe, smooth, and efficient. The crew is able to take down trees of all shapes and sizes – be it an enormous tree in a tight space, over a roof, over a pool, or simply out in an open yard. Our experienced crews can carefully and remove almost any tree from almost any location.
Tree removal can be messy! The debris pile left after a tree has been taken down can be surprisingly large, but we believe in seeing the job all the way through. Texas Tree Surgeons includes debris haul off with all of our removals. CLIMBING LINE & DRT

RIGGING TO SAFELY REMOVE LARGE FALLEN LIMBS
This large red oak had split and fallen over the owners house and into the tree adjacent to it. By using rigging our crews are able to guide large limbs out of precarious locations in a safe and efficient manner.
LARGE LIMB BEING LOWERED
When a tree or large limb is being removed, it is roped off and lowered to the ground so nothing is damaged in the process. Our work is done by trained tree climbers with specialized equipment.
SAFETY FIRST
To ensure a safe work environment groundsmen will clear excess debris intermittently while tree trimming or removal takes place. Clearing the site as the tree is trimmed also ensures jobs are done in a timely manner.
RIGGING IN LARGE TREES
Our crews use ropes designed specifically for tree care because they must be able to withstand friction against the tree and be able to hold hundreds of pounds.

We only work with highly skilled teams of climbers and groundsmen who are experienced in technical tree work. In addition Texas Tree Surgeons is insured and bonded for your protection.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Our goal when we leave a job site is to leave it looking better than how we found it. That means picking up any debris that were created when trimming or removing a tree.
FULL CLEAN-UP
To ensure a job is completed quickly groundsmen will haul away brush intermittently while trimming or removal happens to keep the site clear and safe to move around. Groundsmen will chip the material on-site as needed to make sure all debris is collected and removed at the end of the job.
FULL CLEAN-UP
Our crews haul away all brush after trimming, or chip the material on-site. If you would like any of the wood left to use a firewood please let us know. We will gladly leave a neat pile of logs for you.
COMPLETE DEBRIS REMOVAL
