We Are the ISA Certified Arborists for

Emergency Tree Services

In situations where a tree poses an immediate threat to property or safety, time is of the essence.

How to Contact Us

After an extreme weather event the quickest way to get in queue is to fill out the emergency form on our website or to email office@texastreesurgeons due to the high volume of calls. This ensures that all requests are timestamped and we can move through customers as quickly and fairly as possible.

When to Expect an Arborist

We are dispatching arborists to emergency removals in the order we receive requests through email or our website.  Please do not submit multiple requests, we promise once we have received your information online you will be contacted promptly.

Our office is handling all scheduling requests, please let our arborists focus their time on estimates so they can assist as many customers as possible. Our office staff will let you know when to expect an arborist visit.

When to Expect a Crew

Once you have had an arborist visit and you have approved the bid submitted you should expect a crew to arrive as quickly and as safely as possible. Some areas hit hardest by the storms are still inaccessible, and there may be delays in providing service to that zone. We are doing our best to maximize the amount of customers we help per day. We are currently working Monday – Saturday.

How We Work

Our process is completely paperless, and can be completed online. To get a better understanding of our typical work flow please visit this link: https://texastreesurgeons.com/how-we-work/

Cancellation or Change in Work Orders

If for some reason after you have approved the bid and decide to cancel after the crew has arrived to your home you will be billed 10% of the bid.

Haul Off

At Texas Tree Surgeons, our standard Work Proposals include full cleanup and debris haul-off. Unfortunately during storm periods there is so much debris there is limited access to where we can take it. During emergencies we will be not removing any debris. Our priority currently is safely removing trees. If you would like more info about debris haul off during storm emergencies please read our blog.

Popular Questions

Your first priority is the safety of everyone in the home. If a tree has struck the structure, evacuate immediately and move to a safe location away from the damaged area.

Contact a reputable tree care company with emergency response experience. Ideally, the company should employ ISA Certified Arborists and crews trained in professional arboricultural safety practices.

Removing a tree from a damaged structure is rarely straightforward. The goal is not to simply remove the tree, but to do so while minimizing risk to people and property.

Before removal begins, arborists evaluate factors such as:

  • The point of failure
  • Weight distribution and load paths
  • Structural stability of the home
  • Utility hazards
  • Weather conditions
  • Equipment access limitations

When a large tree falls, it is natural to question the safety of every tree nearby. However, a single failure does not mean all mature trees present unacceptable risk.

When a large tree falls, it is natural to question the safety of every tree nearby. However, a single failure does not mean all mature trees present unacceptable risk.

Healthy, properly maintained trees provide numerous benefits, including:

  • Shade and energy savings
  • Improved air quality
  • Stormwater management
  • Wildlife habitat
  • Improved mental and physical wellbeing
  • Enhanced property values

Rather than removing trees out of fear, focus on professional evaluation and appropriate maintenance. Risk can often be managed while preserving the many benefits mature trees provide.

Routine inspections and maintenance can help identify concerns early and potentially reduce the likelihood of future tree failures.

A professional assessment with a certified arborist can identify:

  • Dead or declining trees
  • Structural defects
  • Weak branch attachments
  • Root related concerns
  • Storm damage
  • Opportunities for preventative pruning

When climbers are not able to safely be in the canopy of the tree, and space can accommodate a crane, we utilize machinery for these risky tree removals. What determines if a crane should be used over climbers is when; root rots such as Ganoderma or Kretzchmaria make the tree weak and structurally unsound, splitting, hornets living inside the hollow,  or a tree to far gone from Hypoxylon Canker. Using cranes also comes at advantage when removing trees that have high risk targets underneath.

Cranes offer a unique advantage in tree removal by allowing professionals to safely remove unsafe trees and minimizing risk.

The use of cranes help arborists lift and maneuver tree sections over obstacles such as houses or power lines, when dealing with dead or weakened trees, significantly reducing the risk of damage and liability. Dead branches and decayed tree structures pose significant safety hazards to climbers and ground crew.

Diseased trees can be particularly unstable, making traditional removal methods hazardous. This is where the precision of a crane becomes crucial as it can carefully dismantle and lower sections of an unsound tree without risking the safety of crew members or damaging nearby structures.

Cranes facilitate safer working conditions by allowing the operators to manage tree removal without being in the tree.

If the tree is healthy enough for climbers to be safely in the canopy of the tree the advantage in having climbers is;  can access tight space, smaller set up time, and the equipment needed is less expensive therefore cheaper in pricing for the consumer.

  • Visible Cracks or Splits in the Trunk
  • Leaning Trees
  • Dead or Falling Branches
  • Fungus and Mushroom Growth
  • Hollow or Decayed Areas
  • Root Damage
  • Insect Infestation
  • Unusual Leaf Shedding
  • Storm or Lightning Damage
  • Bark Health Issues

Regular evaluations with a Certified Arborist are key in identifying issues before they escalate. When trees lean severely or show significant cracking, this can suggest internal decay or weakened root systems. Serious structural issues might require immediate attention to avoid posing risks to buildings or people nearby.

HIGHLY SKILLED CLIMBERS

Our crews are comprised of individuals with different areas of expertise. Our highly skilled climbers use several types of PPE to keep them safe while in the canopies of the trees.

CLIMBING LINE & DRT

Safety for our climbers and your property is important to us at Texas Tree Surgeons. Our climbers use climbing line (specially designed rope) and use DRT (Double Rope Technique) to help them move safely within the tree canopy.

WHY USE A CRANE FOR TREE REMOVAL

What determines if a crane should be used over climbers is when; root rots such as Ganoderma or Kretzchmaria make the tree weak and structurally unsound, splitting, hornets living inside the hollow,  or a tree to far gone from Hypoxylon Canker.

CONTACT A QUALIFIED EMERGENCY TREE SERVICE

A tree resting on a structure creates complex and often unpredictable hazards. Broken limbs, compromised stems, and shifting weight can pose serious risks that may not be immediately visible.

Contact a reputable tree care company with emergency response experience. Ideally, the company should employ ISA Certified Arborists and crews trained in professional arboricultural safety practices.

TIME SENSITIVE EMERGENCY TREE SERVICE

Prompt professional assessment can help stabilize the site and prevent additional property damage. The goal is not to simply remove the tree, but to do so while minimizing risk to people and property.

Depending on the situation, removal may involve climbing, aerial lifts, riggings systems, cranes, or a combination of specialized techniques. Proper planning is essential, as damaged trees often contain hidden forces that can shift unexpectedly during removal.

TEAMWORK

Our arborist and foremen work together to ensure work done on your trees is done correctly and safely. Our entire team; arborists, foremen, and groundsmen strictly follow TCIA and ISA guidelines.

RED OAK LIMB SECURED WITH LINE

A customer's red oak tree's limb failed and fell onto the homeowners steel carport. This large limb blocked the driveway and was hanging into the neighbors yard. Raul and his crew worked together to remove the limb safely and quickly without the aide of a crane. Cranes are sometimes used when trees are deemed too unsafe to climb. Issues with cranes is that they require a lost of space and increase the price of tree work.

ACCESSING DAMAGE

Understanding and evaluating weakness in the tree prior to doing emergency tree work is important to know because it will eliminate further risk to property and workers during the process. Trees with different defects need to be removed differently for safety. Our foremen have the expertise in determining if we can safely remove broken limbs or trees without a crane.

Safety for our climbers and your property is important to us at Texas Tree Surgeons. Our climbers use climbing line (specially designed rope) and use DRT (Double Rope Technique) to help them move safely within the tree canopy.
CLIMBING LINE & DRT

Safety for our climbers and your property is important to us at Texas Tree Surgeons. When damage has already incurred from limb failure it is important to mitigate further damage. Our climbers use climbing line (specially designed rope) and use DRT (Double Rope Technique) to help them move safely and support broken limbs so they can be safely lowered with control.

EXPERIENCED CLIMBERS

At Texas Tree Surgeons we specialize in working with experienced climbers that are able to make very specific controlled cuts to maintain safety and reduce damage. Most of our foremen have been with Texas Tree Surgeons for over a decade.

LOWERING LIMB WITH CONTROL

Our foremen Raul and his crew lowering a massive red oak limb that had fallen on top of a carport. To be able to lower the limb with control Raul secured the limb with rope, removed excess weight, and cut notches at the break point.

From the bidding process, till the crew wrapped up this was a wonderful experience. The crew they sent out was incredible. They were knowledgeable, worked so hard and were so professional. This was not an easy job. It was a 60 year old live oak that had grown up against our home over time where 80% of its branches hung over our 1945 home. Not one single branch ever touched our roof with their amazing technique and pulley system. I highly recommend them without reservation.
Response from the owner:We are thrilled that you had a great experience with our entire team and that our crew was able to trim your tree with care. Safety with efficiency is a priority in our tree work. We look forward to assisting you again in the future. We ❤️🌳 and happy customers!

We found Texas Tree Surgeons from a neighbor's recommendation. We were needing a professional evaluation of our trees and guidance on helping them be their healthiest, especially with the harsh Texas and City elements that they endure. Sage, the arborist we were assigned was the utmost professional and evaluated our situation and gave us recommendations which we are working through and we are already starting to see results.
Response from the owner:Neighbors recommendations are the best. We are so happy they referred us and that Sage gave you great suggestions that are already showing positive results. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We ❤️🌳 and happy customers!.

What a great tree service! I just had them trim my large oak tree that had become very overgrown. They did a spectacular job, with this tree that might be 30 feet tall. Very thorough job, and the tree is shaped beautifully now. I have had many tree services, this is the first where I was actually impressed by the beauty afterwards. They were very informative before and after, really dedicated to education. And the price seemed very reasonable. We are very happy; well deserved 5 stars!
Response from the owner:Thanks so much for the review and for using us to care for your trees! We love trees and our community in North Texas!

I have a large oak tree in the front and one in the back, and I had concerns that the branches were growing closer to my roof and fence. I contacted Texas Tree Surgeons because I wanted an arborist to evaluate what was necessary to trim my trees. Kay came out 2 days later, discussed what was needed, and provided me with a quote. It was a simple trim, but she listened to my concerns, and after I approved the work, they completed the job quickly! I had the option to pay online, which was very convenient. Overall, I had a great experience with them and will continue to use them in the future!
Response from the owner:Kay is a great knowledgable arborist who is passionate about trees. Our arborists deeply care about doing what's best for trees by taking the time to assess and offering recommendations based off your concerns so you can make an informed choice. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We look forward to see you and your trees in the future. We ❤️🌳 and happy customers!
