For Arborists in Dallas

Using certified arborists in Dallas is important because of micro-environments. An arborist who works daily in Dallas will know the trees in that community. As they zig zag between job sites through the neighborhood they will notice trees and patterns in your area. Most importantly they will know the soil in that area and how this soil type may benefit or hurt your trees in Dallas. Local certified arborists will also know disease and insects active in your area.

Kay Chupik

Since 2022

My roots run deep. I’ve lived in the same neighborhood for over 60+ years which has given me a deep knowledge of trees that do well in Dallas. I have seen the seasons shift and the effects of inclement weather on trees.

Before working for Texas Tree Surgeons I helped my late husband run his small Chupik Tree service. I have worked every aspect from running the office to providing quotes, to clean up.

I’ve been working as an arborist for the last 10 years. Prior to becoming an arborist I worked in a garden center selling trees and shrubs.

I enjoy being outdoors; playing disc golf; fishing; really anything that has to do with nature.

Since 2024

I fell in love with Texas Tree Surgeons originally as a customer as they helped me with my oak that was struck by lightening. Through my in depth conversations with my arborist I realized that this was the path for me. I immediately noticed the care and love Texas Tree Surgeons had for trees and and their ethos aligned with my values and interests of working with nature in the best interest of trees.

My way to arboriculture is through my background as a private chef, gardener and native plant enthusiast. I grew up in the Santa Monica Mountains in Los Angeles and I would go on nature walks with my mother regularly because she ran the Sierra Club Walks where they would  identify and forage edible mushrooms and plants.

Our Roots Run Deep In Dallas

In 2007, Amy had an appointment to give an arborist consult in Dallas for two red maple trees that were looking sick. When she pulled up to the house she immediately recognized it as the house where her family lived when she was born. She called her parents to tell them and she learned that her dad had planted those two maple trees by hand in 1971! Unfortunately one tree had root rot and needed to be removed, but the other was put on a Plant Health Care Program and is still alive today due to fertilizing and insect control.

In 2011, Amy was once again out working in Dallas. She was chatting with the homeowner after providing him with a free estimate and he said “My daughter would be perfect for this job!” He went on to say that his daughter, Hannah, had just graduated from Texas A&M and was looking for a job. Hannah began working for Dallas Tree Surgeons (now known as Texas Tree Surgeons) two weeks later and is now our Managing Arborist. She is passionate about trees and her job and recently became a Board Certified Master Arborist (the second female BCMA in the state of Texas).

Being a local Dallas tree company gives us a unique perspective. We were born and raised here, and we love caring for trees that we have been around all of our lives. Trees are an important part of our history and our future. We are proud to support local tree organizations like the Trinity Blacklands Urban Forestry Council.

One of the trees Amy’s dad planted, as it originally looked in 1971.

The storm on Sunday took off a huge branch and almost half of our 97 year old sycamore tree that towers above our house. fortunately it fell into our pool vs our house. I texted Emily at Tree Surgeons and she came over to give estimate that evening She set us up for Tuesday and arranged special accommodation for the large branches disposal. I’ve used Tree Surgeons a number of times and always been pleased by their work , and their arborists. Their prices are fair and their crews are hard working and polite .
Response from the owner:Ann, thanks for the fantastic review we appreciate your support and patronage, and look forward to servicing your needs in the future, we will definitely make sure to share your great feedback with Emily - The Texas Tree Surgeons Team!

Russel came out for an estimate on trimming several trees, including 2 large live oaks. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done with each tree and why. He promptly sent a written estimate, which was less costly than expected. They have already completed the first portion of the job, as Russel recommended delaying the live oak pruning until next month. The crew was very professional, prompt, and efficient. The trees look great. I look forward to them returning next month to finish the job.

We were concerned that a limb on our Red Oak probably needed prompt removal. Texas Tree Surgeons sent one of their master arborists, Emily Long to take a look at the tree, confirmed the limb needed removal and gave an expert overview for further care of the tree, with further pruning next fall/winter season. Their crew came the next day to remove the limb, made a good cut, and cleaned the yard of the sawdust. Very highly recommend their tree service.
Response from the owner:We are thrilled that you had a great experience with Paul. Our ISA certified arborists enjoy taking the time in sharing their deep knowledge in tree care. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We ❤️🌳 and happy customers!
